CTD will hold the 2nd ISD Grant Training Workshop at 2:00PM on April 18, 2024, via Microsoft Teams. Meeting info is posted on the CTD Calendar page, and additional information will be posted in the coming weeks.
The ISD Grant Program training webinar was held on February 28th, and the recording is now available for viewing. The recording and presentation are available on the Calendar of Past Events page.
The Commission held its quarterly business meeting on Wednesday, March 20th at the SunTrax facility in Auburndale, FL (Polk County). For those of you who did not attend the meeting; the meeting recording, along with the agenda and meeting packet have been posted to the CTD Calendar of Past Events.
The CTD is conducting a study to improve the accuracy and analyses of performance data reported in the AOR. The final report was presented at the September 15th business meeting and the recommendations were approved by the Commission. The CTD will implement these recommendations in 2024.
For those interested in proposing projects for ISD Grant funding in FY 2024-25, we strongly encourage you to submit early proposals by Friday, March 29, at 11:59pm. This provides an opportunity for applicants to receive feedback and technical assistance from CTD staff to improve their proposals prior to the final application deadline. Applicants must submit “Early Bird” proposals at: FLCTDGrantApps@dot.state.fl.us. NOTE: Early Bird participants must re-submit their application prior to the final deadline on April 30th.

The CTD Innovative Service Development (ISD) Grant is a program that awards funding on a competitive basis to support projects that test new, innovative services to customers who are transportation disadvantaged. This year, CTD contracted with Thomas Howell Ferguson, P.A., to assist with the evaluation of ISD Grant projects that were funded in State Fiscal Year 2022-23 (July 1, 2022 - June 30, 2023). The Commission has published a final report on its policy pertaining to the use of Transportation Disadvantaged Trust Fund dollars related to "Complementary Paratransit" services required under the U.S. Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The report results from two public workshops held on February 25 and May 7, 2021, where the Commission invited stakeholders to provide public input on this policy. The report was approved at the Commission Business Meeting on June 3, 2021. The final report and related information are provided below:
